Bridge the process interface
Powder handling equipment often connects a fixed machine to a removable drum, liner or container. An inflatable seal can expand after positioning to close the annular gap, then retract before the container is removed.
Account for product and cleaning
Material selection should consider the powder, washdown method, cleaning chemicals and temperature. Surface finish and groove access matter because trapped residue can interfere with sealing and maintenance.

- Cleaning method and chemical exposure
- Cycle frequency and required changeover time
Control inflation consistently
Use a regulated air supply and verify the seal only receives the pressure required by the approved profile. Excess pressure does not compensate for an unsuitable groove or excessive gap.
