Build a continuous, clean groove

The groove should support the profile around the full perimeter and avoid burrs, sharp edges or sudden width changes. Clean both the groove and mating surface before installation.

  • Deburr metal edges
  • Remove oil, dust and adhesive residue
  • Check corner radius against the selected profile
  • Keep the air connection free from side load

Retain without blocking expansion

Retention depends on the profile. Some designs use mechanical capture, while others may use approved bonding at a defined surface. Do not bond or clamp areas that must flex unless the approved drawing specifically requires it.

Install with non-sharp tools

Do not use screwdrivers or sharp picks to force the seal into place. Work around the perimeter gradually, avoid twisting the profile and check that the valve has not been pulled sideways.

Test before operating the equipment

Inflate the seal at the approved control setting, inspect its full perimeter and confirm that it retracts before any door or product movement begins.
