Designed around the moving gap
An inflatable seal is useful when a rigid gasket cannot follow a changing or uneven clearance. The seal stays retracted while the door, hatch or product moves, then expands only when a seal is required.
IKSONIC develops the cross-section, corner layout and inflation connection from the equipment interface. The design review begins with the groove drawing and the minimum and maximum working gap, not with a generic catalogue size.
Information needed for a quotation
A complete application description reduces sampling cycles and helps identify the correct construction.
- Groove and mating-surface dimensions
- Minimum and maximum sealing gap
- Inflation direction and available air connection
- Temperature, medium and cleaning chemicals
- Required ring or frame dimensions and annual quantity
Prototype before production
Profile pressure, expansion and service life depend on the complete cross-section and its support. Samples should be evaluated in the actual groove with the intended pressure-control system before production approval.
