More than a thicker wall

A reinforced inflatable seal is selected when the operating cycle, gap or pressure behavior calls for additional support. Reinforcement changes how the profile expands and how load is transferred into the groove, so it must be considered together with the retaining geometry.

Where reinforced profiles help

Typical projects involve larger closures, wider changing gaps or equipment where repeatable movement is especially important.

  • Large process doors and hatches
  • Powder and bulk-material transfer equipment
  • Equipment with frequent pressure cycles
  • Installations requiring secure mechanical retention

Validate the complete assembly

There is no universal pressure limit for every reinforced profile. The cross-section, material, bend radius, joint, groove and air-control components should be validated together under representative conditions.
